When to Book Cake smash sessions should be scheduled when your baby is 10–11 months old if you’d like the images ready for birthday invitations or party décor. Because custom themes require planning time, booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance is recommended.

Cake Smash Session FAQs
Cake smash sessions are best scheduled when your baby is 10–11 months old so your images are ready in time for their first birthday. Booking 1–2 months in advance is recommended to secure your date.
Do you provide outfits or props?
I provide all backdrops, props, and themed setups. You are welcome to bring your own outfits, or I can help guide you on styling.
How long does the session last?
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on your package and your baby’s comfort. Do I get to choose my photos?
Yes! You will receive a proofing gallery to select your favorite images and purchase additional photos if desired.
RAW or unedited images are not released.
What if my baby doesn’t like the cake?
Every baby reacts differently — and that’s completely okay! I capture a variety of expressions, and we always get beautiful portraits before and during the smash. I recommend letting your baby try cake or frosting at home beforehand so they can get used to the texture.
Is the cake included?
Yes, the cake is included as long as there are no food allergies. If your child has allergies or dietary restrictions, you will need to provide the cake.
How do I reserve my date?
A signed contract and retainer are required to secure your session.
